Welcome to your comprehensive (but early) guide to everything coming to Netflix in the United States throughout August 2026. As the summer winds down, Netflix’s content slate is staying as hot as ever with a packed lineup of blockbuster originals, returning TV favorites, and stellar licensed titles. Whether you’re preparing for an emotional farewell to the Pogues in the fifth and final season of Outer Banks, strapping in for the sci-fi survival thrills of The Last House, or heading back to Colorado for season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys, there is absolutely no shortage of binge-worthy options to round out your summer.

What’s Coming to Netflix on August 1st

  • Balls of Fury (2007) – Down-and-out former ping-pong prodigy Randy Daytona is recruited by the FBI to infiltrate an illegal, underground table tennis tournament. His mission: smoke out Feng, the ruthless triad boss who hosts the deadly event and murdered Randy’s father. Directed by Robert Ben Garant, this martial-arts comedy spoof stars Dan Fogler, Christopher Walken, George Lopez, and Maggie Q.
  • Chief of Station (2024) – After learning his wife’s sudden death was not a tragic accident, a former CIA Station Chief is pulled back into the dangerous espionage underworld. Teaming up with a rogue agent, he unravels a deadly international conspiracy that forces him to question everything. Directed by Jesse V. Johnson, this action thriller stars Aaron Eckhart, Olga Kurylenko, and Alex Pettyfer.

  • Best Medicine (Season 1) – Based on the British series Doc Martin, this medical comedy-drama follows Dr. Martin Best, a brilliant Boston heart surgeon who relocates to a quaint Maine fishing village after developing a phobia of blood. Desperate to be left alone, his blunt bedside manner immediately clashes with the quirky locals, dragging him into their personal chaos. Developed by Liz Tuccillo, the series stars Josh Charles, Abigail Spencer, and Annie Potts.
  • GATE24:The Border (Season 1 – New Episodes Weekly) – Japanese Drama series.
  • Ingrid Goes West (2017) – Reeling from the loss of her mother, an unstable and lonely young woman cashes out her inheritance and relocates to Los Angeles to befriend popular Instagram lifestyle guru Taylor Sloane. What begins as a calculated string of staged encounters embeds Ingrid into Taylor’s inner circle, but her fabricated reality soon threatens to violently unravel. Directed by Matt Spicer, this dark comedy stars Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen.
  • Spoiler Alert (2022) – Based on the memoir Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies by Michael Ausiello, this biographical romantic comedy-drama chronicles the 14-year relationship between Ausiello (Jim Parsons) and photographer Kit Cowan (Ben Aldridge). The film explores their journey from their initial meeting to the complexities of long-term partnership, ultimately focusing on the final year of Kit’s life following a terminal cancer diagnosis. Directed by Michael Showalter, co-starring Sally Field.

What’s Coming to Netflix on August 3rd

  • Asphalt City (2024) – A young, idealistic paramedic begins working the grueling night shift in New York City alongside a hardened, seasoned veteran. As they navigate an unrelenting stream of medical emergencies, violence, and intense ethical dilemmas on the chaotic streets, the extreme stress begins to fracture their sanity. Directed by Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire, this gritty thriller stars Sean Penn, Tye Sheridan, and Michael Pitt.

  • Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (2025) – Set a year after the horrific events of the first film, Mike and Vanessa attempt to move on and hide the dark truth from Mike’s younger sister, Abby. But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with her animatronic friends, she accidentally unleashes a terrifying chain of events, revealing sinister secrets about the true origins of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Directed by Emma Tammi, starring Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail.

  • Inside the Trustor Scandal (2026) Netflix Original – This gripping Swedish documentary special offers a fascinating deep dive into the shocking events and aftermath of one of the country’s most infamous corporate financial crimes.
  • One Hundred Years of Solitude (Part 2) Netflix Original – Following the massive launch of Part 1, the sweeping Spanish-language adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s masterpiece returns. This grand finale beautifully wraps up the generations-spanning magical realism saga of the Buendía family in the mythic town of Macondo.

  • Atlas Shrugged Part III: Who Is John Galt?   • In the Land of Saints and Sinners (2024) – Hoping to leave his dark past behind, a retired hitman seeks a quiet existence in a remote Irish coastal town during the 1970s Troubles. His peaceful retirement is shattered when ruthless, on-the-run IRA terrorists lay low in his village, forcing the former assassin to protect his newfound community. Directed by Robert Lorenz, this gritty action-thriller stars Liam Neeson, Kerry Condon, Jack Gleeson, and Ciarán Hinds.

  • Alley Cats (Season 1) Netflix Original – An adult animated comedy sitcom from the mind of Ricky Gervais. The series follows a gang of foul-mouthed feral British cats from all walks of society who cause havoc and seek companionship while musing on the meaning of life in a brutal human world.
  • Death Inc. (Season 4) Netflix Original – Final season of the rescued Spanish comedy drama.
  • Our Sticky Love (Season 1) Netflix Original – When a dangerous run-in with a powerful crime syndicate leaves fierce prosecutor Go Eun-sae with severe amnesia, she unexpectedly crosses paths with Jang Tae-ha, a former boxing prodigy turned gang member. Recognizing Eun-sae as his childhood first love, Tae-ha decides the only way to protect her from the mob is to falsely claim he is her boyfriend and whisk her away into hiding. Directed by Kim Jang-han, this South Korean romantic comedy series stars Jung Hae-in, Ha Young, Heo Sung-tae, and Lee Jae-won.
  • The Last House (2026) Netflix Original – Formerly developed under the working title 11817, this genre-bending sci-fi horror blockbuster is directed by action veteran Louis Leterrier.
