‘The Tomorrow People’ Leaving Netflix in October 2019

One of the older titles from The CW is scheduled to be removed from Netflix in October which could indicate when other shows from the network is due to leave. Here’s what you should know about The Tomorrow People, whether it’s worth watching before it leaves and what it means for other shows from The CW.

Let’s talk you through The Tomorrow People first. The ambitious sci-fi series which still scores well with audience members only lasted for a single season at the network. The series was a remake of the British series (not streaming on Netflix) and was canceled alongside quite a few other shows in the 2013-14 season.

The series is about amazing abilities such as teleportations, telekinesis and telepathy who are being hunted down by elite agents. If you’ve ever watched Jumper starring Hayden Christensen, it’s very similar in premise to that.

Getting back to the show’s future on Netflix, it’ll soon be coming to an end. The show is currently scheduled for removal on October 9th, 2019 which works out to be exactly five years after it was added to Netflix.

This has a big knock-on effect for other shows from The CW which could suggest all shows from the network will end up leaving Netflix five years after the show comes to Netflix. This is particularly interesting since The CW didn’t renew their output deal with Netflix earlier in the year.

Where will The Tomorrow People stream next?

The series will likely not be available to stream for a while but could eventually head to HBO Max next year. The reason we say this is because the distributor for the show remains Warner Brothers Television who seem to be piling some of their older shows they’ve produced for The CW into the service as well as some of their newer titles too.

Will you miss The Tomorrow People once it leaves Netflix in the United States? Let us know in the comments.
