How many episodes will Season 1 of Arthdal Chronicles air?

This will depend on how Netflix defines what the first season of Arthdal Chronicles is. While it has been confirmed there will be a total of 18 episodes for Arthdal Chronicles, each ‘season’ will be 6 episodes long. With 18 episodes confirmed TVN intends to release all 18 episodes in 2019 thus all three seasons will air.

Netflix may choose to define every 6 episodes as Part 1 or the entire season may be defined as Season 1. Considering how inconsistent Netflix is for labeling seasons we’ll know closer to the release date.

We have confirmation from Netflix that there will be 2 episodes released a week. Each episode will air roughly an hour after broadcast in South Korea.

What are the run times for each episode?

We are estimating that each episode will have a run time of 45 minutes. With 18 episodes available, we’d be surprised if they are an hour long.

When is the release date for Arthdal Chronicles?

The first season of Arthdal Chronicles will arrive on June 1st, 2019!

Will Arthdal Chronicles be available in my region?

Netflix has yet to specify which regions are receiving the South Korean Original. The only region we aren’t expecting to receive Arthdal Chronicles on Netflix is South Korea. The epic fantasy will be debuting on the Korean network TVN.

Will there be a second season of Arthdal Chronicles?

As we’ve already discussed above, the 18 episodes of Arthdal Chronicles are split into three seasons, each with six episodes.

So yes, technically, we are receiving a second and third season! But a further 18 episodes thereafter, we are unsure of. We’ll know more about a sequel series upon release.
