The winter season of anime on Netflix will kick-off with the release of martial arts anime Levius. It’s been a long wait but finally, subscribers will be able to sink their teeth into the series later this November. Levius is an upcoming Netflix Original anime series based on the manga of the same name by Haruhisa Nakata. The series is being produced by Polygon Pictures, who were responsible for the anime series Ajin, Knights of Sidonia, and the animated Godzilla trilogy. Directing the anime Original is Keisuke Ide, who also worked on Ajin.
When is the Netflix release date for Levius?
The first season of Levius will be released on the 28th of November, 2019!
Has the series aired in Japan?
Some of the Originals that Netflix license, first have to air in Japan before its released globally. Levius is exempt from that list and subscribers from around the world will receive the series at the same time.

What is the plot of Levius?
After his parents become casualties of war, Levius is taken in by his uncle Zack. Under Zack’s tutelage, Levius immerses himself into the world of mechanical martial arts, a brutal new sport separate from that of traditional bouts. As his innate ability for martial arts begins to blossom, he begins to capture the attention of strong and dangerous opponents.

At the time of writing the English dub cast hasn’t been listed.
How much of the Levius manga will the anime cover?
In the Levius franchise, there are two mangas.
The first, which the anime series is based on, has a total of three volumes with eighteen chapters.
There’s potential that the first season could be split into two parts. But it is highly likely the first season will cover all of the manga.

Has Netflix released a trailer for Levius?
We received a teaser trailer earlier this year, but Netflix has finally released a trailer for Levius.
What is the episode count of Levius?
Surprisingly, Netflix has yet to announce the episode count of Levius.
We’d expect the first season to have thirteen episodes. But if the first season covers all of the manga there’s room for more.
Episode run times?
Each episode will have a run time of 25 minutes.

Will Levius receive a second season?
After the first manga concluded, the story of Levius continued with Levius/EST.
Chapters of Levius/EST continue to be published in Ultra Jump Magazine. There’s plenty of story left to be covered and Netflix could take advantage of that.
