List of New Year’s Countdowns on Netflix for 2018

Following an annual tradition, Netflix is adding a slew of New Year countdowns to the service for the last few weeks of December. Here’s the full list of the New Years countdowns on the way. 

In 2016, there were 10 countdowns with a similar amount released in 2017. It’s become a tradition for Netflix to supply a slew of short Netflix flavoured countdowns that help you get the kids to bed.

Netflix released the press statement alongside the claim that 77% of U.S. parents prefer staying in on New Year’s Eve.

What New Years Countdowns will be on Netflix for 2018?

Once again, Netflix is gearing the countdowns for kids based on the latest and hottest kids series on Netflix. Most of the countdowns are brand new for 2018 with Fuller House being one of the few titles returning from previous years.

Here’s the full list of shows set for a countdown this year:

  • Alexa and Katie – a teen series which sees its next season drop in December
  • Prince of Peoria – debut season was added a couple of months back with a Christmas special on the way
  • Pinky Malinky – a new animated show due out in January
  • Motown Magic – a recently released music drive series from the creator of Beat Bugs
  • Larva Island – recently picked up Netflix Original kids series
  • Beat Bugs – just got its third season dropped onto Netflix after a two-year wait
  • Skylanders Academy – saw a new season in 2018.
  • Super Monsters – has seen multiple releases this year including a recently released Christmas episode
  • True and the Rainbow Kingdom – season 2 released in June
  • Tales of Arcadia – 3Below is set for release next week
  • All Hail King Julien – returning after the series has been finished for over a year now
  • Spirit Riding Free – recently saw a new season in November
  • Fuller House – returning with season 4 just having released on Netflix

When will the New Years countdowns be on Netflix?

The New Years Countdowns typically get added to Netflix on December 25th and then are removed around a week after New Years itself.
