Love Alarm is an upcoming Netflix Original South Korean drama based on the Webtoon of the same name by author Chon Kye-Young. The Original was the very first Korean series to be ordered by Netflix but will be the fourth to debut after Kingdom, Persona, and My First First Love.
What is the plot of Love Alarm?
In an increasingly digitalized age, so too is our love lives. When an unknown developer releases a dating app, it goes viral in South Korea. The app will tell the user if someone within 10 feet of them has romantic feelings for them, this greatly disrupts day to day life for Jojo. Soon, Jojo finds herself caught in a love triangle between her childhood friend Jung Ga Ram and Hwang Sun-oh, the handsome model.

Only a small amount of promotional material has been released.
When did production take place?
Unknown to many, Love Alarm was the first South Korean Original ordered by Netflix. However, due to scheduling, the production of the series was pushed back.
Filming began earlier this year and concluded at the end of June.
How many episodes will Love Alarm air?
This information was surprisingly difficult to find, but we have confirmation that the series will have eight episodes.
What are the run times of each episode?
This hasn’t been confirmed yet, but we expect each episode to be around 45 minutes.
Is this a limited series?
It hasn’t been listed as a limited series, and we’d be surprised if the title only had one season.
At the time of writing, the Webtoon which the series is based on, has over 160 chapters. We’re not sure eight episodes are enough to cover that amount of source material.
