What/If – Netflix

Hopefully, you haven’t had burn out from all the Netflix Originals that have arrived in May, as there’s an excellent title on the way that’ll be going straight on your watch list! Starring the ever wonderful Renée Zellweger, it may come as a shock as she stars in one of her darkest roles yet. Gone is the loveable and endearing Bridget Jones and in her place is the lying, deceitful shrew Anne Montgomery. Here’s everything we know so far on What/If including the Netflix release, date, plot, cast, and trailer.

What/If is an upcoming Netflix Original Thriller anthology created by Mike Kelley. Kelley’s previous work as a television writer included the creation of Revenge and Swingtown. Netflix has begun to dive further into their anthology titles, with such programs like Black Mirror and The Haunting, both of which are fantastic in their own regard. What/If will be the 9th Netflix Original anthology series on the streaming service in the US. Legendary director Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump) is serving as one of five executive producers on the series.

Here’s the timetable you’ll need to know what time What/If will be available in your region:

Time Zone Time available to stream
Pacific Standard Time 12:00 AM
Mountain Standard Time 1:00 AM
Central Standard Time 2:00 AM
Eastern Standard Time 3:00 AM
British Summer Time 8:00 AM
Central European Time 9:00 AM

Will there be a second season of What/If?

It’s hard to say as there are some details that contradict each other.

In the trailer, the series is acknowledged as a ‘Limited Series,’ which usually means there is only one season. Even on the official wiki page for the Original, it’s listed as a ‘Mini-Series,’ which is effectively the same as a limited series.

What contradicts the above is the fact the series has been listed as an Anthology. Which leaves us with the question of “how can a limited series be an anthology when it only produces one season?”. Sadly we don’t know the answer to that question!

Perhaps each season may be given a different title but just acknowledged as being part of the anthology. Either way, the information given is definitely contradictory.
