Avengers: Endgame will be the second Marvel movie after to Captain Marvel that won’t be coming to Netflix in the United States. As for other Netflix regions like Canada and the United Kingdom, they will be far luckier. Here’s when Avengers: Endgame will be on Netflix.

Avengers: Endgame is the 22nd title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the very last title in the third phase of the shared universe. The characters are based on the characters of Marvel Comics by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee

While Avengers: Endgame isn’t the last title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it’s certainly the biggest film in the franchise’s history. Endgame is the culmination of the MCU and will be the film that defines the past 11 years fans worldwide have invested their time and emotions so deeply into the beloved franchise.

In the aftermath of the Avengers fight with Thanos, half the universe’s population has disappeared. Tony Stark is left stranded in space with no food and water desperately trying to send a message to Pepper Potts. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers left on Earth are trying to devise a plan to return everyone that Thanos vanquished.

Will Avengers: Endgame be coming to Netflix US?

From 2016 to even now subscribers in the US have become used to seeing the latest Disney titles arrive on Netflix. Unfortunately, fans will be sad to hear that Avengers: Endgame will not be coming to Netflix US. There still is a selection of Marvel movies available to be enjoyed on Netflix for a limited time.

Why isn’t Avengers Endgame coming to Netflix US?

The most obvious answer would be that Avengers: Endgame will eventually be on Disney’s own streaming service Disney+. But previously Netflix had a contract with Disney to stream their most recent cinematic titles. This contract ran from 2016 and concluded at the end of 2018. So while there are still some titles from 2018 still yet to come, all of them will eventually leave Netflix for Disney+.

The first Marvel title to not make its way onto Netflix was Captain Marvel which is the first Marvel title opting to release on Disney+ instead.

Will other regions be streaming Avengers: Endgame on Netflix?

By now most subscribers in the United Kingdom will know where the most recent Marvel movies arrive first. Firstly Avengers: Endgame will be available to stream on Now TV and Sky Go for 18 months. After that 18 month period is over it’s unclear if Netflix will receive Avengers: Endgame or if it will be on Disney+. The latter seems more likely.

Canadian subscribers will be happy to hear that Avengers: Endgame is expected to arrive later this year. As we haven’t been told otherwise the Canadian Netflix should continue to receive future Disney releases and will be available to stream them for 18 months.

The following regions may receive Avengers: Endgame:

  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • France
  • Germany
  • India
  • Italy
  • Mexico
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland

Once Disney expands Disney+ to audiences worldwide we can expect a shift in titles on Netflix.
