The Imitation Game (2014)

Type: Movie
Release Date: April 29th

While Benedict Cumberbatch is in cinemas at the moment reprising his role as Doctor Strange in Avengers: End Game, his fantastic appearance in the Oscar-winning The Imitation Game arrives tomorrow to kickstart the week.

The movie takes us back to World War 2 where Germans were using a highly secretive means of communication and it was a British mathematician who managed to crack it.

Baki (Part 2) Netflix Original Anime Series

Type: TV Series
Release Date: April 30th

Although we’ve had quite a wait for part 2 of the anime series Baki, it’s release is finally in sight.

Once again, we join Baki Hanma who is training to surpass his father in the ring to become the best fighter in the world.

The Matrix Trilogy (1999 – 2003)

Type: Movies
Release Date: May 1st

The sci-fi movie trilogy is making another round on Netflix with all three movies once again dropping on Netflix on May 1st. We first got word of the readditions back on the 20th-anniversary celebrations earlier in April.

In case you’ve never seen these movies, please don’t waste the opportunity this time around. You’ll be going on a journey quite like no other with Neo learning he lives in a computer simulation.

Colony (Season 3)

Type: TV Series
Release Date: May 2nd

USANetwork’s sci-fi series came to its epic conclusion last year with season 3 of Colony. The series follows a family in the midst of an alien invasion and it’s about their journeys while under occupation.

Many were displeased with the cancelation of the show with few storylines needing to be wrapped up but this will be your chance to binge through all episodes in season 3.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019) Netflix Original

Type: Movie
Release Date: May 3rd

Netflix paid top dollar for the exclusive rights in the United States for this dramatization of the Ted Bundy story. Netflix produced a docuseries on the prolific killer last year so it made a natural fit for this highly rated movie that debuted last year.

The movie is shot from the perspective of Ted Bundys longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer.

War Horse (2011)

Type: Movie
Release Date: May 4th

Despite the director’s disdain for Netflix and streaming services (except for Apple+, of course) quite a few of his movies found their way onto Netflix including one of the better titles from his back catalog.

War Horse is set during the first world war and is about one man who’s drafted into the war along with his horse.
